Celebrating A Lasting Legacy

Jim Kingsbury

Jim Kingsbury was a loving family man, successful investment advisor and dedicated volunteer leader. Giving back was a way of life for Jim. He was inspired to make a difference by generously donating his time and talent to many not-for-profit organizations for decades.

Jim began his volunteer leadership in healthcare as a member of the board of trustees with Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn in the 1970s where he was later appointed chairman of the board. After Jim moved to Columbia County, he quickly became involved with Columbia Memorial Health, contributing to capital campaigns and fundraising events.

Jim was elected to the CMH Foundation board in 2004 serving until 2016 and was then appointed trustee emeritus in recognition of his many years of devoted service. Jim was also a dedicated member of the CMH Hospital Board of Trustees from 1992 until 2012 and was appointed trustee emeritus from 2012 until his passing in 2021.

Jim's legacy gift will help ensure Columbia Memorial Hospital will continue to provide the highest quality healthcare services for future generations.

The legacy of Jim Kingsbury, his leadership, wisdom, kindness, endless generosity and sense of humor, will be remembered by the lives he gracefully touched along the way.
